Are Wood Burning Stoves Going to be Banned?

There’s been a lot of coverage in the press recently about wood burning stoves and the possibility that they might be banned.

It’s true that older wood burning stoves are inefficient and more polluting, but modern wood burning stoves complying with the latest Ecodesign regulations are the most clean burning and efficient stoves ever produced, and there are currently no plans to ban the installation or use of them in the UK.

When you have a new stove installed you should always make sure that you burn kiln dried hard wood logs, or at least well seasoned logs, to ensure your stove burns cleanly and efficiently.
